Where the Sky Touches the Earth
This textured abstract painting is part of my new series Steppes, a meditative exploration of our bond with the earth and the quiet strength that lives in open spaces. Each layer—built with acrylics and fragments of real grasses—echoes the ancient rhythms of the land, evoking memories that live not only in the soil but in our bodies and dreams.
The work invites the viewer into a space of stillness and breath, where the horizon expands beyond the physical and becomes a metaphor for resilience, hope, and continuity. It is a visual prayer, gently speaking of freedom, groundedness, and the wisdom that emerges from silence.
Rooted in my ongoing practice of honoring nature through tactile forms, Whispers of the Steppe blurs the boundary between painting and living memory—an offering from the land, to the soul.
